Cerdanya is a beautiful Pyrenean region with one foot in Catalonia and the other in France. As a result of the agreement made between the Kingdom of France and Spain in the Treaty of the Pyrenees in 1659, it was divided into two: Alta Cerdanya, French territory, and Baja Cerdanya, the Catalan region.
